APEC Digital Opportunity Center (ADOC) Secretariat in Chinese Taipei (hereinafter referred to as ADOC Secretariat), and CENTRE FOR WOMEN AND DEVELOPMENT agree that the purpose of establishing ADOC 2.0 e-Learning Digital Centeris to support the ADOC 2.0 Project in its goals for bridging the digital divide for Vietnamese by facilitating local Information Communication Technology (ICT) capacity building and training programs, especially for children, women and disadvantaged.

Training activities:

Three training workshops were organized for 105 business women of different ethnic groups by the Women’s Union in Bac Kan province in late November, early December, 2007 including 1 course in Bach Thong district (26-30 November), 1 – in Ba Be town (28 November – 2 December) and 1 – in Xuat Hoa commune, Bac Kan Town (2-6 December).

Training :

Bac Kan provincial WU organized 2^nd training workshop for WE and its BDS staff on IT applications from 20-26 October, 2007.

Training :

Basic training for WE on business management took place in the province Ha Nam (4 courses held in August and September 2007).

To bring into play the achievements gained in the Project “Training for women in micro and small enterprises in Vietnam” (TWMSE2, 2001 – 2004), under the BDS component, one of the six components of the VWU-WI/NUFFIC Project, various pilot BDS activities have been implemented by the provincial/ city women’s unions.
